Cl@ve PIN mobile app on IOS

  • The Tax Agency provides you with a free download of the Cl@ve PIN application for iOS mobile devices.Once installed, you can view the PIN codes previously obtained from the browser or from a mobile application integrated with Cl@ve PIN (for example, the Tax Agency app) and their period of validity.But not to apply for and obtain a PIN.

    To use the application you will need to have previously registered in the Cl@ve system.If you need information on this subject, please consult the help available in "Links of interest".

    When the application is opened for installation, in the first windows you will be informed of the requirement to be previously registered in the Cl@ve system and you will be informed of the actions that will carried out with the application:activation of the device by receiving an SMS with an activation PIN and displaying the requested PIN via the browser or from an integrated mobile application with Cl@ve PIN .     You will then be informed on how to activate your DNI/NIE on the device, and details will be given of the security policy and service conditions along with the collection and use of data:

    • Users must be previously registered in the system (if not, there is a link that will take you to the registration page);
    • To activate your DNI/NIE you will receive a PIN via the mobile phone number you used for registration;
    • After activation, you can view the previously obtained PIN codes from your browser or from a mobile application integrated with Cl@ve PIN;
    • The PIN code is personal and non-transferable, valid for 10 minutes and can only be used once until you disconnect from the e-Office or close the browser.
    • Users can only use the app on one device at a time.

    User activation

    The form for activating the user will then be started.In the top left corner you will find the application menu (three horizontal bar icon), containing various options depending on the screen you are in.

    To start the activation, enter your DNI/NIE and click "ACCEPT".

    Indicate DNI/ NIE

    In the next window, depending on the number of the document provided, the following data will be required:

    • Validity date, for DNIs
    • Date of issue, for permanent DNI (01-01-9999)
    • Support number, if it is a NIE

    Once the DNI/NIE and the validity/issue date or the support number have been correctly indicated, click "ACCEPT".If the user is already registered in Cl@ve, they will have to use the screen unlocker that has been configured on their device.

    You will then receive an SMS notification to the phone number registered in Cl@ve (for security reasons only the last four digits are shown).Click "I UNDERSTAND" and check your mailbox.Take note of the PIN received to enter it in the next window.

    Then enter the three-letter alphanumeric PIN code you received via SMS and click "CONTINUE".The device will have been activated to see the PIN that you have requested from the browser or from an app that has Cl@ve PIN integrated.Click on "Continue".

    After the activation, the application will check if the user has a valid PIN, obtained within 10 minutes beforehand.If not, the corresponding information and how to obtain it will be displayed.

    If you have a valid PIN (valid from the last 10 minutes) it will be displayed on a new screen, along with a timer for the remaining validity time.

    When using the PIN in any procedure (within 10 minutes of obtaining it) a window is displayed with the exact date and time it was used.

    The app does not have a PIN function.It only shows the last valid PIN, previously requested from the browser or from an app that has Cl@ve PIN integrated (such as the Tax Agency app).

    In the upper left corner you will find the application menu (icon with three horizontal bars), which can contain different options, including changing users, Cl@ve PIN technical assistance, Terms of Service and security policies, as well as logging out.

    It is only possible to activate a DNI/NIE on the device.Therefore, to activate another DNI/NIE it will be necessary to delete the previous one.It is also advisable to delete the user and repeat the activation process from the beginning if an error occurs during the PIN viewing process.

    To delete a user from the application, click on the menu in the top left corner (three horizontal bar icon) and select the option 'Change user'.An information window will appear on deletion of user data in the app.Click "Confirm" to start the activation process from the beginning.

    From the menu you can also "Close session" for the application, meaning that, in addition to leaving the application, the session will be closed, increasing security.The next time you need a PIN code, when you access the application, you will be asked for the code that unblocks the device.
